I’m going to admit something now that I’ve never really admitted to anyone before, I have a wee lil crush on Warren Buffet. I can’t help it, he’s just so smart, and philanthropic, and political, and well, he’s loaded too. That certainly doesn’t hurt.
Buffet has long been praised for his financial mastermindedness, and well, apparently the Nebraska native is looking to share his financial wisdom with the younger generation… the way younger generation. Buffet stars in the new cartoon Secret Millionaire’s Club, about a group of kids who go into business selling candy.
The goal of the show – aimed at 6 to 11-year-olds – is to teach financial responsibility as well as teach kids about investing from an early age so they won’t be scared to do it as they get older.
Of course, there’s another underlying message too, to believe in yourself. Awwwww.
Honestly, I might tune in, I could certainly use a bit more financial prowess. Oh, and there’s the added bonus for Buffet-philes like me to hear is financially dreamy voice… *swoon*.
Secret Millionaire’s Club is an online cartoon scheduled to premier on AOL this fall. Check it out, you don’t want a group of six-year-olds knowing more about the economy then you… seriously now.
Ed. Note: In the summer issue of Rap-Up magazine, Akon spills on who he looks up to. The singer says he loves Donald Trump and Russell Simmons, but his “idol is Warren Buffett.”
Apparently, it’s not because Warren is “the richest man in the world” but because Akon “admires people like that, who actually make a lot of money and give the money back.”
