The conversation with Dr. Harrison Lee covers some general topics of what it is like to be a facial feminization specialist but also gets into his experience with Jenner and the high profile surgery.
“Knowing how high-profile this surgery was going to be, I was thinking about all the people who were on the fence about this type of surgery, and knowing that if Caitlyn’s surgeries were successful, they would empower other transgender candidates to realize that they, too, can live the life they choose,” he said, noting also that the enormity of the situation “certainly did weigh on me.”
