It is far from easy being a female actress in Hollywood and not something often openly spoken about.
Actress Rose McGowan (Scream, Charmed, and The Black Dahlia), who made her directorial debut this week with Dawn, is the exception to the rule as she shared her opinion on being a female on Hollywood in a series of tweets.
Last Thursday, she tweeted a casting note she received with a script. In the note, she was told to wear clothing that “shows off cleavage (push up bras encouraged).”

The 41-year-old actress then tweeted last night (June 24) that she was fired by her “wussy acting agent” after she spoke out about Hollywood.
The awesome thing about being an artist? You can't be fired from your own mind. #FREEDOM

She previously stated to Defamer that this isn’t the first time she’s struggled with representation.
What advice did she get at age 17?
